Orange County Drug and Alcohol Addiction Treatment

Over 23 million Americans are addicted to alcohol and drugs, according to a 2015 national survey, although many experts put that number at closer to 40 million.

When a person is suffering from an alcohol or drug problem, it can be very difficult to get help before the disease progresses to dangerous levels. Treatment is most successful when a full continuum of care (COC) is provided, meaning from medical detox to inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs, which is why Newport Beach Recovery Center offers just that.

Addiction is a disease that affects the mind and body. While addiction is a progressive disease with no known cure, there is a solution. Newport Beach Recovery Center offers women and men evidence-based treatment programs for substance abuse and mental health conditions in Orange County, CA. Our rehab experience ranges from inpatient medical detoxification to outpatient treatment, sober living, and specialized programs to address mental health disorders to provide our clients with the best possible outcomes.

Detoxification

The first step in the treatment process is a detox program. While detox can be done in an outpatient setting, it is highly suggested to attend an inpatient detox like the one at our Newport Beach treatment center. Our inpatient detox program offers clients a safe way to get off of drugs and alcohol for good while remaining under the medical supervision of our addiction treatment professionals.

Outpatient Programs

Typically, outpatient treatment programs like intensive outpatient and outpatient therapy are offered after a client completes a residential inpatient recovery program; however, there are times when a client can’t escape the responsibilities of daily life, and outpatient treatment is the best option. The outpatient rehab programs at our Newport Beach rehab center make alcohol and illegal drug addiction treatment accessible alongside your work, school, or familial commitments.

Sober Living Homes

Sober living homes, or halfway houses, are transitional living environments where our clients live in a home with other recovering addicts. This is where they re-enter society as a sober person and learn how to live life again, free from alcohol and drug abuse. Dual Diagnosis Mental Health Treatment

Few people realize the impact a mental health condition can have on your ability to become and stay sober. Often mental illness can be a contributing factor to drug or alcohol abuse in the first place. That’s why our holistic treatment approach also focuses on addressing your mental health coinciding with addiction. As part of our co-occurring behavioral health treatment, we provide various types of therapy, including trauma therapy, group therapy, and treatment methods involving your family members and loved ones when deemed necessary.

What Are My Treatment Options for Addiction?

When you are seeking out treatment for substance and alcohol abuse, it is very important to consider the various treatment options. Typically, you will notice there are five different treatment options. Each of these is going to have a different impact on people and help kick the addiction.

Medically Supervised Detoxification

This is the first treatment option that people are going to need to consider if they are addicted to drugs and/or alcohol. During detoxification, clients can expect to have their withdrawal symptoms managed. For an inpatient detox center like Newport Beach Recovery Center, you will have 24/7 medical staff to ensure a safe withdrawal process and mitigate withdrawal risk factors, especially should you choose to quit cold turkey.

Residential Inpatient

A residential treatment program is a facility where recovering individuals live on-site 24/7 throughout the inpatient phase of treatment. Newport Beach Recovery provides a comfortable, and relaxing setting for those seeking to stop drinking alcohol and using drugs at our luxury rehab program in Orange County.

Dual Diagnosis Program

Often, mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, and eating disorders go hand in hand with alcohol and substance abuse. Only through treating both diseases will you be able to find long-lasting sobriety. That’s why Newport Beach Recovery Center offers a dedicated co-occurring condition program that addresses every contributing factor that may be encouraging substance abuse.

Intensive Outpatient

An intensive outpatient treatment program is for individuals who have completed detox and residential inpatient levels of care, or if an individual can not attend inpatient treatment.

At intensive outpatient, there are group sessions three to five times a week in addition to weekly individual therapy sessions, including modalities like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, and support groups where we challenge the thought processes linked to increased alcohol consumption or drug abuse. Many times, if a person cannot attend inpatient treatment, intensive outpatient is the next best option.

Outpatient Program

Typically outpatient treatment is the last step in the addiction treatment process, where clients continue group and individual therapy one to two times a week to achieve sustainable long-term recovery from their dependence on a substance.
